30 weeks.....MERRY CHRISTMAS

How far along: 30 weeks
Total weight gain: 33+
Stretch Marks: nope..... YAY
Sleep: SUCKS
Best moment this week: Alston and I were laying in bed Christmas evening and he had his head resting on my belly talking to the baby.  It was so incredible to watch and feel as the baby reacted to Alston's voice.  I remember laying there and thinking "My cup runneth over".... thank you Lord for this man you have blessed me with.
Miss anything: Margaritas and sushi
Movement: Oh yes
Food cravings: Mustard
Anything making you sick/queasy: not really.
Gender prediction: I really do think that Baby G is a girl... I'm carrying SOOOO low. But with that said, I'm trying very hard to take turns referring to the baby and she and he. I really want to stay neutral.
Labor pains:I started experiencing Braxton Hicks this week. No bueno!
Wedding ring on or off: Ring on this week.
Belly button in or out: Still in... but getting flatter.
Mood most of the time: My mood seems to be getting better.
Looking forward to: Spending New Years Eve with my love.
Next appointment: January 8th
Any new symptoms: Nothing new this week.
Prego Moment of the week: Getting winded when I try to put my boots on.

Christmas in Oklahoma..... Day 1

We got in around noon on Friday morning after driving 10 hours.  We decided to wait to leave till 12, since my doctor told me that we would have to stop every hour to get out and walk for about 5 minutes.  But if I was sleeping, we wouldn't have to stop.
Once we got here it was non-stop Friday. Alston spent the day with my brother shopping for hunting supplies at Bass Pro ( they went goose hunting EARLY Saturday morning... more in a minute) and I spent the day with my dad getting some last minute gifts bought and the groceries for Christmas dinner.

Here are a few pictures of the boys hunting experience.

My brother is the second one from the far left and my hubby is the one on the very end.... far right.

LOTS of geese.... my mom has been looking up recipes all morning on how to cook a goose.  I'll let you know in a later post how it went.

Oh.... they have now decided that they want to stuff at least one of their prizes.

Best moment this week: Hearing Baby G's heartbeat and packing for Oklahoma.  At my doctor's appt I was barely measuring 28 weeks, but the dr said that is because Baby G is sitting SOOOO low.  She asked if I was experiecing any pain and I told her it hurt down low and around my pelvis bone.  She said yep... "SHE" is hanging out way low.

Ready to "POP" Baby Shower

Sunday I had to honor of hosting a baby shower for my cousin Ashley and her little one on the way Ms. Renley.  Ashley is due Dec. 20, so I thought the best theme for her shower would be "Ready to "Pop".... where everything centered around the word "POP".

This was the all things "POP" table.
  We had....
Cake "POPS"... White cake and Red Velvet
Fruit "POPS"... Grapes &  Pineapples
Rice Krispie "POPS"
White Chocolate "POP"corn
Carmel "POP"corn

These were to two prizes for the winners of our games.  We played the traditional game where everyone gets a clothes pin when the first get there, and if they say the word "BABY" they lose there pin.  The one with the most clothes pins at the end of the party wins.  The other game we played was we gave everyone a small tub of play-dough and they had to "make a baby" and Ashley got to pick the winner.

Here is a pic of some of the "BABIES" that were made.

My mother-in-law and Ms. Addie

The diaper cake I made for baby Renley, with little glitter Toms.

The Hubby sneaking some punch before he went outside to be with the men.
I have to brag....Aunt Roni (the Mawmaw) makes the most beautiful quilts by hand.  This is just one of MANY that she has made.

Ashley and Renley got a lot of very nice gifts and LOTS of diapers and wipes.

second trimester LOVES

schick intution ravor
I absolutely LOVE this razor!  Why did I not discover this years ago when I was living at the lake... sheeesh...
All you have to do is splash some water on your legs or your pits and shave: no shave gel required and no nasty bumps after!  Great for those mornings I'm running late and still need a shave.

New make-up
I'm all about simplifying my daily routine.... I figure I better start now trying to find products that will make me feel good, but not make me spend more than 5 minutes in the bathroom.
  • The eyeshadow stick is FABULOUS!  Is for the smokey effect, but I use just the blush pink side for every day use.  My favorite color is the "Torch".
  • This "fountain" is so cool!  It only comes in two colors I believe... tan and fair.  When you squeeze some out to use it it is white... but as you blend it it blends so smoothly and flawlessly!  Love this for a quick fix.
Food Cravings
I cannot get enough of these two!  Pineapples and Satsumas... OMG!
Satsumas are native to Louisiana: they are super easy to peel, and SOOO yummy. They are actually sweet.

BACK BRACE FROM BABYS R US
Find it here.... My belly really starts to hurt in the evenings, especially after a lot of being on my feet.  My friend told me about this when she saw that I was constantly putting my hands under my belly.  It helps take the weight off of your back too, which is a BIG plus.

Mio water flavor
I'm currenlty burned out on Crystal Light, so I had to try something different.  What's also nice about the MIO is that you decide how much to add... and that really determines that flavor of your drink.
NO I DON'T USE THE ENERGY ONE EITHER...

still loving my belly lotion
27 weeks and still no stretch marks!! YAY!!!
